The Institut d’art contemporain in three dates :

1978: Founding of Le Nouveau Musée art centre by Jean Louis Maubant

1998: Founding of the Institut d’art contemporain, the fruit of the merging of Nouveau Musée and the Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain Rhône-Alpes (Rhône-Alpes Regional Contemporary Art Collection)

2006: Nathalie Ergino succeeded Jean Louis Maubant as the Institut’s director. President: Jean-Pierre Michaux
